Icons was founded in the Summer of 1995. Initial prototyping occurred until the Summer of 1996 when the company premiered its introductory product line with official replicas from Star Wars licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd. The quality and accuracy of the Star Wars Lightsabers immediately established Icons as an international brand name. Within six months Icons’ Star Wars line was sold through The Sharper Image, FAO Schwartz, The Smithsonian Institute, and QVC. Unfortunately, management was not as strong a trait as their design abilities and the company folded along with quite a large amount of collectors $$$. But their work stands the test of time and they did make quite a large array of replicas from the 1st Star Wars Lightsaber Replicas.  After the fall of the company Master Replicas  was formed and became the elite of Star Wars movie prop replicas.  To read more about Icons click here.
